The Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov got acquainted with the exhibition exposition of industrial enterprises of the Pskov Region during a visit to the region on October 18.

At the stand of the Moglino resident, the Synthesis Technology company, the head of the department was told about diamonds that are created in the laboratory, which are identical to natural ones.

The production is now located in St. Petersburg, management of Synthesis Technology  plan to develop it in the Pskov region. This company is engaged in carbon synthesis, as a result of which diamonds are grown in the laboratory. They have the same physical, chemical and optical characteristics as natural ones.

“The technology is entirely ours, our professors developed it,” said the director of the enterprise, Andrei Petrov. “This is know-how, patenting is too early.” We went to this for two years. One problem – expensive equipment. Diamond plates are used for the electronics industry, for radars and lasers, for drilling, the creation of temperature sensors and optics.

– Everything related to radio electronics should be taken as the basis of the enterprise. And here it is, – Denis Manturov showed a hand to jewelry, – this is pampering. It is necessary for their halves to buy natural stones! – smiled the minister. – I support all these areas in advance, we are ready to provide you with all kinds of financial and administrative support for the development of all technologies.

As the director of the enterprise told Pskov Pravda, the creation of jewelry is really a by-product of production. Those diamonds that are too small and not suitable for use in industry are allowed into jewelry so as not to be thrown out. In all respects, they are no different from natural diamonds, since the natural process of diamond growth in the earth’s crust is recreated in the laboratory.
